HUNDREDS ACCEPT CHRIST IN INDIA

Three glorious nights of Gospel meetings were held and each night many precious people accepted the loving Lord Jesus Christ to be the Savior. It was the first time evangelistic tent meetings were held in that area of India. The Gospel message of the loving Lord Jesus Christ was presented simply and clearly. The point of “not knowing Christ is like going out into outer darkness,” was dramatically reinforced when coincidentally lights went out. When I asked who did it they said, “No one. It just happened.” The Holy Spirit prompted these words to be spoken, “You could live a thousand lives and never make it to heaven. Jesus is the perfect One and you need to believe in Him to be born again once.” Jesus is the light of the world and who ever believes in Him will not walk in darkness.

Less than a decade earlier a leading pastor was mobbed to death by extremists of another religion not far from the site where I was preaching. A group came to disrupt the meetings that night. However, when they heard prayers they were disuaded. Each night multiple hands went up to indicate they wanted to receive the God Man, Christ Jesus Christ into their hearts for salvation. The converts were directed to seek out the pastors who were standing off to the side for counseling. Some new believers were baptized that night. Though an emphasis on healing was not made, it could not be denied that many were touched by the healing power of Jesus Christ.  Thank you Lord Jesus for drawing precious souls to your riven side for salvation and also for your power and protection. All the praise to You our Savior.

How my heart yearns to return to Africa! It has been many years now and in my absence I am pleased to report they conducted a pastors’ conference attended by 1,000. I have been so preoccupied with attending to the tower and transmitter issue in Halifax that it has prevented me from returning to Africa. The government requires that I visit the areas we support. In particular we have been helping a pastor who is a father of four whose wife died. I had been asked to preach in a city wide campaign in Kigali, Rwanda.

 Over twenty-five children; some orphans, some with one parent, some whose parents are too poor and have sent them to live here and others who send their kids to this place for education comprise this precious group of laughing, happy children who sing and play together. Sadly, those who live there sleep on a tarp or feed sacks on the cold cement floor. There is one bed for a teacher who will allow some children to use it. Money is being sent for bunk beds. The pastor’s wife goes from house to house begging for rice and clothes for the children. The budget is approximately $250 per month. They need a play ground. A very small piece of property is $6,000. They need at least two parcels. Ideally, we would purchase the place they rent which has two meager buildings. How can children laugh and sing in such circumstances? They do and it is beyond me the joy as they play and love one another. India has the highest number of under weight children anywhere in the world, including Africa. Send your love across the ocean. You can make a monthly pledge or a one time gift and the heart of Jesus will be touched as you care for one of these little ones.

A contact asked if I would help a church with a radio station they want to operate in Dublin. I asked the pastor if he would like for me to come over and could I do some preaching when I come. He said yes. Please pray this will come about in God’s way and timing.



I took this picture near where the Charlottetown transmitter is. We hope to begin looking into the process of going to higher power on PEI. The cost is $8,000 for the studies. We will have to attend to the Moncton transmitter while the 5,000 watt CJLU transmitter is still hindered from going into operation. We have however, seen the successful launch of a repeater station to serve the Annapolis Valley.
