CJLU 93.9FM is a Class A Christian radio station that serves the Halifax Regional Municipality and surrounding areas with family friendly programming. We have been operating since 2005.

International Harvesters for Christ Evangelistic Association inc. is a nonprofit, charitable organization operating two Christian radio stations. One is in Halifax N. S. and the other is in Moncton, N. B. The founder is Rev. Jeff Lutes who serves as the president and governs the ministry with the chairman and a Board of Directors. There are four offices in Africa, Uganda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. Each has a president who directs the ministry in his country. The ministry conducts pastors' conferences. Over 2000 ministers have attended. The purpose of the organization is to reach, preach and teach. "Harvesters" has one solitary objective, to win souls for Jesus Christ.

Rev. Jeff Lutes, B.A., M. Div. was born in Moncton, N.B. He has three children, Josh, Caleb and Leah. He is married to Faye ne. Greenlaw. He was a pastor for 20 years in Atlantic Baptist convention churches. He began as an evangelist with Ambassadors for Christ traveling through out Latin America and Eastern Canada. He founded International Harvesters for Christ Evangelistic Association Inc. that now operates four offices in Africa. He started an evangelistic outreach center called The Agora in a shopping mall. He also formed a Christian music club as an alternative to bars, called The Oasis to reach people for the Lord Jesus Christ. "Harvesters" operates two Christian radio stations, one in Halifax, N. S. and the other in Moncton, N. B. Jeff desires to see souls saved, and he has a passion to preach the Word of God.

Paul Patterson is a relative new-comer to the radio industry, joining the staff of CJLU in the summer of 2007. Paul was born in Halifax, NS and spent his school years here, before moving to South Florida for college. After a year in FL. Paul transfered to New Brunswick Bible Institute, in Victoria Corner, NB, where he persued a diploma in Theological Studies. Shortly after graduating in 2003, Paul took a position with a church as Director of Youth Ministries. He stayed there for just under a year before he sensed God's call on his life to go back to college for a Music Degree. In the fall of 2006, Paul graduated from Briercrest College, in Saskatchewan, Canada with his BA Music, majoring in Worship Leadership. He is activly involved with his home church, leading worship, and playing music. He also travels throughout New England, performing his own music, and leading worship for different events and venues. He has an affinity for Southern Gospel, as well as Contemporary music, so he is just the right fit for our station.
Paul is the Station Operator for CJLU and also hosts "The Gospel 30" - 30 minutes of non-stop Southern Gospel Music, as well as "The Rolling Home Show", daily from 4:00-5:30pm.

Mark Winston started in radio broadcasting in 1972 as a Morning Drive Announcer and Music Director. Over the years he found himself spending more and more time in the production studios at the various stations. He was a Production Director and/or Program Director at KAAY-Little Rock (a 50,000 watt AM giant back in the early 80's), as well as many other stations around Kansas, Wisconsin and Oklahoma. He now owns and operates Winston Creative Sound Studios in Wichita, Kansas- a 1,500 sq.ft. state of the art audio and video production facility where they produce commercial and industrial projects as well as complete CD projects for Christian and Southern Gospel artists. Mark accepted Christ at the age of 15 during a revival at church. Currently he and his wife Cindy, along with their daughter Kelsey are active members of Crossway Christian Church. Over the past 20 years he has served in different ministry positions and has written and produced many contemporary Christian songs.

Carl T currently hosts the Get-a-way Weekend programming throughout Saturdays and Sundays. As well he hosts the Morning Current Drive program Monday through Friday. Carl has worked in television (VA USA) and radio (Va USA, NL CA), the position of operating manager in VA and production-director in NL. With other periodic radio involvment he has a combined total of just over 20 years in radio broadcasting. Carl also currently operates an internet radio stream as a part of his self-startup: friend-family-media, consisting of radio work which extends as far as New Zealand, with web design & computer tech work also inclusive. Carl has travelled for a combined spance of 14 years as group/road manager for singing talents: Lidstone Brothers(NL), Jerry Stone (NC,USA) , theLate:Pas/Evang.-Tommy Tarver(LA,USA) Bruce Trent(VA/TX USA). Wife Kelly and even son Christopher (5 yrs) have all at times been involved in the radio industry. The greatest goal in life has been that of heart-service to his living and risen Lord, Jesus Christ.

Jean (John) Brunet, originally from Ontario, now resides in Halifax, NS. He moved to Halifax in 2003 to commence his studies in finance at Saint Mary's University. He joined our team in the summer of 2007 as a student intern and continues to work for us during the school year, working with our daily drop-ins and morning programming. On top of his studies, Jean is also involved with Campus for Christ at his university, and is the owner and founder of sizzlingpopcorn.com - an internet website dealing with movie reviews and previews, mostly from a Christian perspective. Jean wrapps up his studies within this next year, and is uncertain as to what the future will hold for him, leaving it in God's hands.
